A Message from the President & CEO
"We
are what we repeatedly do.
Excellence then, is not an act, but a habit." - Aristotle
The good-to-great companies probably sound
like tough places to work, and they are. They are rigorous cultures.
At El Pueblo...an Adolescent Treatment Community, rigorous
means consistently applying exacting standards at all times and at all levels of
the organization. The dynamics of El Pueblo are such, that we debate
vigorously in search of the best answers, yet unify behind decisions, regardless
of parochial interests. Those decisions are also supported by a Board of
Directors that encourages us unconditionally. At El Pueblo we are
committed to standardizing Values, Communication and Quality!
Excellence is not a skill.
It is an Attitude. - Ralph Marston
In 2006, the State of Colorado, Division of Child Welfare,
was challenged with a dramatic paradigm shift in regard to residential
treatment, and yes, El Pueblo was left dazed, but not shaken. We can be
proud that we have addressed the brutal facts, and this President/CEO truly
believes, we have been left stronger and more resilient, not weaker or
dispirited. As we plan for 2007, El
Pueblo has a renewed sense of exhilaration which comes from facing head-on, the
hard truths and saying, "We will never give up. It may take a period of
time, but we will find a way to prevail." Thus you are sure to hear us say
often, "While we're here...Let's WIN!"
When the world says, "Give Up",
Hope whispers, "Try it one more time."
As El Pueblo prepares for 2007 our goals have been designed
with three objectives for developing healthy children and families as presented
to our industry by both our Federal Government and the State of Colorado:
SAFETY
PERMANENCY
WELL-BEING
Patty Erjavec,
President & CEO
